A great friend since Grammar School days in Beverley. Staunch, true to his beliefs, a source of many fond memories. On holiday on Lindisfarne when Jim/James and fellow ex School chum Dick Barron stayed with us, whenever Jim went out for his "rollie", Scruff (our ancient Westie) would follow Jim out and stand by his feet. Moistens my old eyes to look back on it. Go in peace Jim, you were one of the best.
